Malcolm Clarke

BSc [Honours], PGCE [Secondary] ICT, MEdPrac

I am currently at Kōwhai Intermediate School in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland as a specialist PŪRAU/STEM and Digital Technologies teacher. I have had over 25 years teaching experience in Computing and Digital Technologies, teaching both children and adults. I am happy to be known for being an 'early adopter' of all things related to education. I was fortunate to be able to work as the EdTech Educator at The Mind Lab (now part of academyEX) where I developed my passion for tinkering with new education related tech and trying new ideas out. I have also been the Past President of DTTA - Digital Technologies Teachers Aotearoa, the subject association for Digital Technologies.

I am passionate about the future developments of education and the potential of what Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics can offer students within a school environment. The opportunities presented to me in the last few years has led me to continue to develop any learning opportunities and my pedagogical approach to teaching STEM and Digital Technologies in the classroom.
